Booking 101. For Red 7 and Beyond.

Before you read the speech, here's the abbreviated version...

1 - Don't book yourself for any shows 2 weeks prior or after the show without letting all the venues know. It's not worth it, trust me, your shooting your band in the foot and embarrassing everybody.

2 - Make a flier/poster for your show, or get your hands on one someone else made and put them all over town. Facebook isn't your only resource. If you're a promoter, book bands that help you promote, and ride their asses to make sure they do.

3 - Don't expect a weekend headlining show or to be main support for larger touring acts until you've proven yourselves to us. I, unfortunately, don't book some of my favorite bands on touring shows because they don't draw or promote, and the more you can prove to us that you do the more likely we'll be to offer you to come back and play more of the fun/packed shows.
